Beginning Monday, April 29, a collaborative of community partners in Tulare County led by Porterville College, Tulare County Office of Education and the Tulare County Child Abuse Prevention Council will host The Lisa Project, a fully interactive multi-sensory experience that will take you beyond the headlines and statistics about child abuse. This audio tour and media exhibit will take you on a journey through the lives of children plagued by abuse.

At no other time has anyone had the chance to understand the plight of these children and to experience it through their eyes, their ears and their emotions. The Lisa Project promises to raise awareness through education and outreach as you “take a child by the hand” and listen to their story.

The Lisa Project will be open April 29 through May 2 from 9 a.m to 3 p.m. at Porterville College in the SCCR. This event is free and open to the public.  While in the Tulare County area, the minimum age requirement to view the exhibit is 14. Advanced reservations for groups are available.

For more information about The Lisa Project or to schedule an interview, please call Amanda Guajardo at Tulare County Child Abuse Prevention Council 559-735-0456 or e-mail info@tularecountycap.org.
