Hector Nava and Isaiah Ellis put on a show for the Porterville High football team and the show was enough to help lead the Panthers to huge opening come-from-behind win on the road.
Porterville trailed 29-15 at halftime and 42-35 going into the fourth quarter but outscored Dinuba 14-0 in the final period on their way to a 49-42 win over the Emperors on Friday in Dinuba.
Nava accounted for six touchdowns for PHS, four through the are and two on the ground. He completed all four of his TD passes to Ellis, who finished with six receptions for 241 yards.
Nava completed 13-of-19 passes for 380 yards and also ran for 91 yards on 11 carries as he finished with 471 yards of total offense.

Monache fell in its season opener on Friday in Visalia.
Lindsay 26, California 14
Mario Diaz had a big game for Lindsay as he caught seven passes for 148 yards and three touchdowns in the Cardinals’ season-opening win at Frank Skadan Stadium.
Diaz caught two of his TD passes from Randon Gomez and the other from Nick Dunning. Danny Trujillo also had a big game on the ground for Lindsay, rushing for 142 yards on 30 carries and a touchdown.
