INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Brandon Waddell allowed just four hits over six innings, leading the Indianapolis Indians over the Rochester Red Wings in a 5-3 win on Wednesday.
Waddell (2-5) allowed one run while striking out six to pick up the win.
Indianapolis went up 3-0 in the second after Christian Kelley hit a two-run double.
Trailing 5-1, the Red Wings cut into the deficit in the ninth inning when Zander Wiel hit a two-run home run.
Griffin Jax (1-1) went four innings, allowing five runs and seven hits in the International League game.
Wynston Sawyer singled four times for the Red Wings.
