SAN ANTONIO (AP) -- Cory Spangenberg was a triple short of the cycle, driving in five runs and scoring a pair as the San Antonio Missions beat the Omaha Storm Chasers 9-2 on Thursday.

Travis Shaw homered and singled with two RBIs for San Antonio.

San Antonio started the scoring in the first inning when Spangenberg hit a two-run home run.

Omaha answered in the top of the next frame, scoring two runs to tie the game, including a solo home run by Ryan O'Hearn.

San Antonio later scored in three additional innings, including a five-run seventh, when Shaw hit a two-run home run to help put the game out of reach.

San Antonio left-hander Drew Smyly (1-0) picked up the win after allowing two runs on just three hits over five innings. Opposing starter Scott Blewett (5-7) took the loss in the Pacific Coast League game after allowing four runs and four hits over 4 2/3 innings.
