PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. (AP) -- Niklas Rimmel tossed a four-hit shutout and Francisco Martinez went 1 for 1, as the GCL Twins topped the GCL Rays 3-0 in a game that was called early on Tuesday. The GCL Twins swept the short two-game series with the win.

Rimmel (2-1) picked up the win after he struck out four.

All three runs for GCL Twins came in the second inning, when Luis Milla hit an RBI single and then scored on a two-run single by Erick Rivera.

JJ Goss (1-3) went two innings, allowing three runs and two hits in the Gulf Coast League game. He also struck out three and walked one.

The GCL Rays were held scoreless for the seventh time this season, while the GCL Twins' staff recorded their fourth shutout of the year.

The GCL Twins swept both games of the doubleheader after winning the first game 3-2 in eight innings. With the win, GCL Twins improved to 7-1 against GCL Rays this season.
