Three different players scored in Lindsay High School girls soccer’s 4-0 defeat of Strathmore in an East Sequoia League game on the road Tuesday.

Bella Duran scored two goals for the Cardinals while Lesly Villanueva and Jasmine Torres each had one goal.

Lindsay High School boys soccer defeated Strathmore 3-0 in an East Sequoia League game at home Tuesday.

Emiliano Corona scored two goals and Sergio Corona had one.

Porterville 4

Delano 1

Porterville High School boys soccer defeated Delano 4-1 in an East Yosemite League game on the road Tuesday.

The Panthers were down 1-0 at halftime and it could’ve been more but Josias Guzman made a huge save to keep Delano from scoring again. “He played good in goal,” PHS head coach Eddie Gutierrez said.

Porterville missed a penalty kick and the game was “sloppy” according to Gutierrez but the team finally broke through 20 minutes into the second half when Ricardo Angeles scored.

Juan Cerros scored the second goal from a difficult angle and Angeles scored the third with a nice shot from outside the box. Kevin Gil scored the fourth with a header from a cross.

Porterville High School girls basketball defeated Tulare Western 68-34 in an East Yosemite League game on the road Tuesday.

Sierra Pacific 78

Strathmore 46

Strathmore High School girls basketball lost 78-46 to Sierra Pacific in an East Sequoia League game on the road Tuesday.
