The Strathmore High football had its own way as expected in a 44-7 win over Sierra Pacific on Friday in Hanford.

Total of 22 other locals on All-ESL first, second team

Three of the top four spots for the All-East Sequoia League teams were earned by members of the Lindsay High School football program this season. 

Senior running back, Daniel Trujillo, was named the All-ESL Offensive MVP. Senior wide receiver and cornerback, Mario Diaz, was selected the Specialty Player of the Year. Cardinals’ head coach, Matt Mendonca, was voted Coach of the Year.

Receiving the only other major award was Strathmore senior defensive back, Andre Bravo, who was selected Defensive MVP. A total of 22 other local players from Lindsay, Strathmore and Granite Hills also received All-ESL honors.
