>Monte Reyes on being named the new president and CEO of the Porterville Chamber, replacing Stephanie Cortez.

>The Recorder’s All-Orange Belt Players of the Year — Monache’s Andrea Lopez, volleyball and Strathmore’s Joseph Garcia, football.

>City of Porterville Parks and Leisure Services for its three-week Winter Camps that are held at the Heritage Center.

>Monache High School freshman girls wrestler Charlotte Kouyoumtjian for winning her fourth straight tournament title and being named CaliforniaWrestler.com wrestler of the week at the end of December.

>The Recorder’s Person of the Year — Mayor Milt Stowe. Thank you for everything you do. 

>Bill Shaffer for taking on the task of stage manager for the Buck Shaffer Spectacular set for Feb. 24 at the Porterville Memorial Auditorium. Bill is Buck’s brother and brings a wealth of experience to the show. 

>Monache High School football player Montrece Fields for being named East Yosemite League Specialist Player of the Year and to the 22 football players from Monache and Porterville squads that were named to the All-EYL teams. 

>Monache High School boys wrestlers Beau Bradley at 160 pounds and Mark Cardwell at 170 pounds for placing first at the 75th annual Tournament of Champions in Valencia.

>Porterville College men’s basketball team for winning its Central Valley Conference opener at home over Merced, 84-70.
