On November 11, 2019 at 8:23 P.M., Porterville Police Department Officers responded to Yum Yum Donuts, located at 8 West Olive Avenue, regarding a possible domestic assault in progress that was eventually determined to be unfounded.
But during the investigation, Officers attempted to contact Michael Camacho, 18, however he fled from Officers. Camacho was apprehended after a short foot pursuit and physically resisted arrest. While attempting to take Camacho into custody, Rafaelita Garcia, 19, interfered and assaulted Officers. Garcia also physically resisted arrest.
Camacho and Garcia were booked at the Tulare County Sheriff’s South County Detention Center and both are being held in lieu of $25,000 bail.
None of the Officers nor suspects were injured during the incident.
