On Wednesday, at approximately 9:06 a.m., Porterville Police Department (PPD) Special Investigations Unit Detectives responded to a residence located in the 700 block of West Pioneer Avenue to apprehend Samuel Sanchez who had two active narcotic related warrants for his arrest, and to conduct a court compliance check based on his probation terms and conditions.

Detectives subsequently contacted Samuel after he locked his bedroom door in an attempt to delay the search. Also contacted at the residence were Steven Sanchez, who was on active probation for felony assault, and Monique Toledo, who had five active warrants for her arrest related to narcotics and theft. During the search of the residence, Detectives located nearly an ounce of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and indicia of drug sales. Additionally, Steven was determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance.

Samuel Sanchez was arrested and booked at the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office South County Detention Facility for Possession of Methamphetamine for Sale, Maintaining a Residence for Drug Use or Sales, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Conspiracy to Commit a Felony, Delaying a Police Officer, Violation of Probation, and arrest warrants. He is being held in lieu of $70,000 bail.

Steven Sanchez was arrested and booked at the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office South County Detention Facility for Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance and Violation of Probation. He is being held without bail.

Monique Toledo was arrested and booked at the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office South County Detention Facility for Possession of Methamphetamine for Sale, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Conspiracy to Commit a Felony, and arrest warrants. She is being held in lieu of $110,000 bail.
