Summer heat is here

The marquee outside of SJCV on Main Street indicated that the heat hit 100 degrees on Wednesday, June 19, just two days before summer officially begins on June 21. Comparative to Tuesday's high of 99 degrees, Wednesday's heat was blazing, and looked as if it would continue to swelter, but cooler weather is on the horizon. The National Weather Service has proclaimed sunny days through the weekend with temperatures rising to a high of 98 degrees, and low night temperatures dropping to 61 degrees. Today's high is estimated at 96 degrees, which is a six degree difference from Friday's projected high of 90 degrees. Sunny skies and clear nights are forecasted through the weekend.
