Ribbon cutting ceremony officially reopens preschool
St. Anne’s Preschool officially cut the grand reopening ribbon with the Porterville Chamber of Commerce in a ceremony on August 9th.
Principal Kayla Trueblood did the honors of cutting the ribbon in front of students, parents, builders, benefactors and friends. The occasion marked the end of a months-long project to expand and remodel the preschool, as well as updating the grounds in the playground area.
“The new facility allows space for our even younger learners to grow and develop at their appropriate developmental pace,” said Trueblood.
The remodel and expansion project added two classrooms and a bathroom — over 600 sq. ft in total — to the existing preschool facility, as well as updated plumbing, flooring and walls in the rest of the building. The playground received new grass, updated handicap accessibility, and rubber bark in the play area.
“Our prayer for this newly renovated facility is that we are able to better serve the children of Porterville and the surrounding areas by exposing them to a top-notch education, but most importantly, to the love of Christ,” added Trueblood.
