Trinity Lutheran Church will present a series of Lenten services during the next six weeks, beginning with Ash Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 6:30 p.m.

This service will include the “Call to Lent,” the imposition of ashes and communion.

The next five services will focus on the “Voices of the Passion: Dramatic Reflections of People Who Were There.” The Biblical figure, “Judas Iscariot,” will be featured in readings on Wednesday, March 4. This will be followed by readings about “Amos, the Thief on the Cross,” on March 11; a sermon by Peter Marshall titled, “Peter and the Trumpet of the Mom,” on March 18;

“Mary Magdalene” on March 25; and another sermon by Peter Marshall titled, “Were You There,” on April 1. All of these services are scheduled at 6:30 p.m. and will be preceded by a no-charge soup dinner at 5:30.

According to Pastor Jim Rogers, “We hope members of the community will join us as we reflect on the words of these important Biblical figures and the roles they played in Jesus’ journey to the cross.”
