Camps include a variety of science experiments and projects
Registration is now open for the Porterville College Foundation’s summer Science, Mathematics and Resource Technology (S.M.A.R.T.) Lab camps. Space is limited so register today!
Four camps will be held throughout the summer: June 24-27, July 8-11, July 22-25 and August 5-8. Camp is held Monday – Thursday from 8 a.m. until noon at PC.
Camps are open to students grade 4 – 6 and explore life, earth and physical science through a variety of experiments and projects. Students can expect to use compound and dissecting microscopes, perform dissections, build racecars and learn about current and static electricity, chemical reactions, rockets, magnets and more.
The cost per camp is $25, which includes a mid-morning snack, materials, a T- shirt, workbook and a textbook of the student’s choice. This low cost camp is made possible thanks to generous support from Edison International.
