Groundwater sustainability plans have been submitted to the state and are now online at the Department of Water Resources’ SGMA Portal, SGMA.water.ca.gov/GSPcomments for public review.
Plans are open to public comment for 75 days after they were posted online. The deadline to comment on the Eastern Tule Groundwater Sustainability Agency’s GSP which covers virtually all of Southeastern Tulare County is April 15.
Information about how to comment on a plan can be found in a new fact sheet in English and Spanish. Public comments are welcomed and encouraged — an SGMA Portal account isn’t necessary. Public comments can also be mailed to the Sustainable Groundwater Management Office at 901 P Street, Room 313B, Sacramento, Calif., 95814.
