The Porterville Police stated a man was arrested after being found with a controlled substance and items belonging to several victims.
Victor Valdez, 44 of Lindsay, was arrested after being stopped by Porterville Police. At about 10:20 p.m. Saturday, officers conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of North Newcomb Street.
Police stated Valdez, who was driving, was found to be in possession in possession of a controlled substance and transporting the controlled substance in his vehicle. After searching Valdez’ vehicle pursuant to his arrest, officers located a laptop computer, a printer, identification cards, social security cards, blank payroll checks and personal checks belonging to several victims.
Valdez was arrested and booked at the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Pre-Trial facility, where he’s being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
