A Porterville man has been arrested after an investigation into a robbery that happened on Saturday, December 21.
Phillip Redmon, 36 of Porterville, was arrested.
On Saturday, December 21 at about 10 a.m., Porterville Police Officers investigated a robbery that occurred within the 500 block of East Poplar Avenue. At that time a female victim reported Redmon took several personal items from her by force and fled the area. Efforts to locate Redmon at that time were unsuccessful.
On Wednesday, at approximately 10 p.m.., Porterville Police Officers responded to a residence located in the area 500 block of East Poplar in an attempt to locate Redmon. During a search of the residence, Officers located Redmon hiding inside where he was arrested without further incident.
A subsequent search of Redmon revealed he was still in possession of items taken from the victim during the initial robbery, including a stun gun. Officers also located a small amount of methamphetamine along with packaging material, stolen and altered checks, identification cards, bank cards and personal information of several potential victims of fraud. Additionally, Redmon was also determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance.
Redmon was later booked into Tulare County Sheriff’s Department South County Detention Facility where he's being held in lieu of $110,000 bail.
