Two people were arrested after a high speed chase from Porterville to Lindsay on Saturday.
Jasmine Daily and Ricardo Aguirre were arrested as a result of the chase.
At about 8 a.m., Porterville Police officers responded to a disturbance in the 800 block of South Indiana Street. As officers were responding, they observed the suspects leaving the area in a vehicle and attempted to make an enforcement stop near the Lowes shopping center.
The suspects vehicle failed to yield and led officers on a high-speed pursuit to the Lindsay area where it was terminated. A short time later officers located the vehicle abandoned near an orange grove in the area of Avenue 204 and Road 208. With the assistance of Tulare County Sheriff’s deputies and a Porterville Police K9, officers located Jasmine Daily and Ricardo Aguirre hiding nearby at which time they were taken into custody without further incident. Further investigation revealed Daily was the driver of the vehicle and Aguirre was wanted for a probation violation.
Daily was later booked into the Tulare County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bail for felony evasion in an automobile and for resisting arrest.
Aguirre was later booked at the Tulare County Jail in lieu of $60,000 bail for resisting arrest and for the warrant charges.
