Governor appoints Visalian to Superior Court bench

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger announced Tuesday the appointment of Brett R. Alldredge to a judgeship in the Tulare County Superior Court.

Alldredge, 55, of Visalia, has served as a commissioner for the Tulare County Superior Court since 1994. Prior to that, he was a partner for Lynch & Alldredge from 1989 to 1994 and a sole practitioner from 1988 to 1989.

He was a partner for Farley & Alldredge from 1985 to 1988 and McInturff, Behrens & Alldredge from 1983 to 1985. From 1979 to 1983, he was an associate, then partner for Sharp & Maroot.

Alldredge earned a juris doctorate degree from Arizona State University College of Law and bachelor of arts degree from Arizona State University.

He fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Patrick O’Hara.

Alldredge is a Democrat. The compensation for this position is $178,789.
