Pascoe's big day

Bear Pascoe picked the right time to have the best game of his career, playing a key role in the New York Giants 21-17 win over the New England Patriots in Sunday’s Super Bowl.

Pascoe, a 2004 Granite Hills graduate, made four receptions for 33 yards. Pascoe caught a pass on the game’s second play for four yards and later caught a pass for nine yards that helped set up a touchdown pass from Eli Manning to Victor Cruz that gave the Giants a 9-0 lead.

Pascoe then had receptions of 8 and 12 yards that helped set up field goals that pulled the Giants to within 17-15. Pascoe also had to be counted on more as the game went on as the Giants’ other tight ends had to leave the game with injuries. Travis Beckum had to come out of the game with a knee injury in the second quarter and the Jake Ballard had to come out of the game with a knee injury in the fourth quarter, leaving Pascoe as the Giants’ only tight end.
