Cunningham inducted into Granite Wall of Fame
He leads Grizzlies to win

On a night in which Dante Cunningham was inducted into Granite Hills Wall of Fame, the senior wasn’t going to lose.
Cunningham scored 24 points as the Granite Hills boys basketball team held off Robert F. Kennedy 73-67 on Monday at Granite. Cunningham’s name was placed on the Wall of Fame hanging on the wall at the Granite Hills gym during the night.
Granite led by as many as 15 points before Kennedy closed to within two points with two minutes to play. But Cunningham hit two clutch free throws to help Granite hold off Kennedy.
Also for Granite, Francisco Lopez scored 15 points, David Pena had 13 points and Alex Medina and Josh Lewis each added six points.
WESTERN 63, PHS GIRLS 34
Western jumped out to 14-0 and 18-1 leads on its way to taking a 26-6 lead after one quarter on its way to beating Porterville on Monday in Tulare. PHS closed to within 38-23 in the third quarter, but Western closed the quarter with a 9-0 run to take a 47-23 lead. Savannah Ertl scored 14 points, Alia Alvarez hit two three-pointers on her way to scoring eight points and MaryRose McGinn added six points for PHS.
