Be A Part of City Photo Album In this Sesquicentennial year of the founding of the city of Porterville, The Recorder is giving residents an opportunity to be included in a photo album that will provide lasting memories for decades to come.
"Enjoying the Good Life", a photo album for the community, will be published this fall and the plan is to have the book be filled with photos submitted by residents of the area.
Porterville is observing its founding in 1861. There are many memories which make up the city’s past and hopefully, the "enjoying the Good Life" photo album will become another way for citizens to remember our past, said Recorder Publisher Mark Fazzone.
Any resident of the Porterville area can submit a photo for the book which will be available in time for the Royal Porter Putnam Day Oct. 21 as the major event of the city’s Sesquicentennial celebration.
Photos can be dropped off at The Recorder office — 115 E. Oak Ave or emailed using this website. The Recorder will also accept photos at some community events throughout the year. Keep a lookout in The Recorder for announcement of those events. Photos will be accepted until late August.
