Letters to the editor must be signed and include the address and phone number of the writer for verification. Letter writers must be willing to have their name and hometown published with the letter.
Letters should be no more than 250 words, or about one type-written, double-spaced page. Longer pieces may be considered for guest commentaries, depending on, amoung other things, available space. Hand-written letters must be legible.
All letters are subject to editing for length, grammar, journalistic style and libel.
No open letters or copies of letters to third parties will be published.
Those submitting letters are limited to two published letters per calendar month, subject to the editor's discretion.
