Summer Shannon of Terra Bella who won one of the two E. M. Tharp scholarships announced during World Ag Expo.
Monache varsity boys soccer that won the East Yosemite League and were seeded second in their division for the Valley playoffs.
Porterville High School wrestling that again won the East Yosemite League. Also to league champions Mason Pengilly, Abel Contreras, Martin Sandoval, Gregory Pagella, Eduardo Madrigal and Edgar Madrigal, all of PHS, and Matt Gamble, Greg Ruiz, Josh Sabayan and Justin Fournier of Monache.
Granite Hills High School wrestling that won the East Sequoia League. Also to league champions Andy Alvarez, Jose Larumbe and Jose Leon.
The off-duty Lindsay police officer who foiled a burglary last week.
