McFarland man accused of child molestation

A 19-year-old McFarland man accused of molesting two young children approximately five years ago, was arrested by Porterville police on Monday.

The suspect was arrested on suspicion of lewd and lascivious acts with a minor and oral copulation.

According to the Porterville Police Department, detectives conducted an investigation into allegations that Rodriguez had molested the children, a 5-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl, over an approximate three-year period. Police say the victims were interviewed with the assistance of the Tulare County Child Abuse Response Team.

They later located the suspect, who lives in McFarland, and he was later interviewed regarding his involvement.

Based on the investigation and interview, the man was arrested and booked into the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department, the PPD reports.
