Crime blotter 3/6/13

Information below is provided to The Recorder by the Porterville Police Department. It is noted that only arrests are reported and the suspects have not been found guilty of any crime.

Wednesday, March 6

Felony Warrant / Possession of Methamphetamine

Officers contacted Steven Stetts in the area of Orange Avenue and Main Street. During the contact, it was learned that Steven had a felony warrant. He was searched and also in possession of methamphetamine. Steven was arrested and booked into the Tulare County Main Jail.

Misdemeanor Warrant Arrest

Officers contacted Lisa Duran, 39, in the area of G Street and Oak Avenue. She had two misdemeanor warrants, was arrested and later cited and released from PPD.

Misdemeanor Warrant Arrest

Officers contacted Ronal Steppe, 50, in the area of Main Street and Thurman Avenue. Steppe had a misdemeanor warrant, was arrested without incident and later cited and released from the PPD.

Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance / Parole Violation

Officers contacted Michael Aguilera, 26, in the parking lot of Sierra View District Hospital. Officers subsequently arrested Aguilera for being under the influence of a controlled substance. Aguilera’s parole agent was contacted and issued a parole warrant. Aguilera was booked at the substation.

Felony Warrant

Officers contacted Thongvanh Xayachack, 45, at his residence regarding a felony warrant. Xayachack was arrested without incident and later booked at the substation.

Felony Warrant

Officers responded to 72 North Wisconsin regarding a verbal argument. Morgan Appleton-Hicks, 27, was contacted, and she had a felony and a misdemeanor warrant. Appleton-Hicks was arrested without incident and was booked at TCSD.
