Crime Blotter 03/05/13

PORTERVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT
Information below is provided to The Recorder by the Porterville Police Department. It is noted that only arrests are reported and the suspects have not been found guilty of any crime.

Tuesday, March 5
Felony Warrant Service
Officers were dispatched to Motel 6 regarding a warrant service. Officers contacted Olga Cantu, who had a felony warrant for her arrest. Cantu was arrested and later booked into the Bob Wiley Detention Facility.

Fraud
Officers responded to the police department and contacted a victim reporting fraud. The victim said he is the owner of a Mexican restaurant in town, and he received a call from an out of area number advising him he needed to send $500 or his electricity would be shut off. The victim had the money wired and then discovered the subject did not belong to the power company.

Special Investigations Unit
Detectives began working with Tulare County Probation and Lindsay Public Safety Department to monitor AB109 probationers in the Porterville/Lindsay area. The team contacted Valente Flores, 31, who had a warrant for his arrest for a probation violation. Flores was arrested without incident and booked into the Tulare County Main Jail. The team also responded to Lindsay and made several probation contacts.

Domestic Battery
Officers responded to the 300 block of West Morton Avenue regarding domestic violence. Officers located both parties involved. The victim advised Bo Ebeling, 22, struck her. Ebeling was arrested for domestic battery and later booked at the Tulare County Jail.
