Crime blotter 11/10/12
Information below is provided to The Recorder by the Porterville Police Department. It is noted that only arrests are reported and the suspects have not been found guilty of any crime.

Child Endangerment
Officers responded to Motel 6 regarding two unattended juveniles, ages 2 and 10. Officers arrived and contacted the juveniles. After further investigation, it was learned that the mother, Teresa Bell, 29, left the motel earlier in the morning. Child Welfare Services responded and took custody of the children. Bell arrived on scene and was arrested. She was later booked at Bob Wiley Detention Facility for Child Endangerment.
Warrant Arrest
Officers contacted Juan Carlos Zepeda, 19, at the police department. He had a felony warrant and was later booked at the TCSO Porterville Substation.
Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance
Officers responded to 550 W. Springville Ave. regarding Rosa Rocha, 19, asking juveniles if they wanted cigarettes. Officers determined Rocha was under the influence of a controlled substance and she was arrested and booked.
Warrant Arrest
Officers contacted Alice Davis, 47, on North Hockett Street during a pedestrian contact. Davis had an active warrant for her arrest. She was booked at PPD and later transported to Bob Wiley where she was housed.
Attempt Auto Theft
Officers responded to the 200 block West Orange Avenue regarding an attempt auto theft. The victim reported that a suspect attempted to steal his 1995 GMC Sierra by breaking the driver’s side door handle and entering the vehicle. There was damage to the steering column as well. Physical evidence was located at the scene and the case remains under investigation.
