Crime Blotter 09/16/12
Information below is provided to The Recorder by the Porterville Police Department. It is noted that only arrests are reported and the suspects have not been found guilty of any crime.

Warrant Arrest
Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of West Morton Avenue regarding warrant service. Mark Hood, 54, was contacted and arrested regarding a Tulare County warrant. He was booked at the substation.
Warrant Arrest
Denise Power, 22, was contacted during a disturbance in the 2100 block of West White Chapel Avenue. An active Tulare County warrant was located for Power’s arrest. She was arrested for the warrant charges.
Prowling
Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of South F Street regarding someone heard tapping on a female resident’s window. Officers located Conrado Montoya prowling in the backyard of the residence. The victim did not know Montoya and he was arrested.
Warrant Arrest
Officers contacted Alfredo Alvarez, 63, on the Tule River at E Street. He was found to have a misdemeanor warrant and he was cited on scene.
Felony Warrant Arrest
Officers were checking a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of West Henderson Avenue when they observed a male subject. He was identified as Cody Cizek, 21. A records check revealed that Cizek had felony and misdemeanor warrants for his arrest. Cizek was arrested without incident and later booked at the substation.
Robbery
Officers were dispatched to the area of Orange Avenue and B Street regarding a robbery that just occurred. Officers contacted the victim who reported that he was walking on Orange Avneue when he was confronted by a suspect who demanded money and a cell phone. The suspect then displayed a knife at which time the victim gave the suspect a cell phone. The suspect then fled on foot. The victim was not injured. Officers checked the area for the suspect but were unable to locate him. The investigation is ongoing.
Domestic Battery / Resist Arrest
Officers were dispatched to the area of Olive Avenue and Chess Terrace regarding a male choking a female. When officers arrived, they located the female victim. She was was upset and reported she had been arguing with her husband, Patrick Padama, 34. Officers checked the residence and encountered Padama. Padama immediately resisted officers was detained although he continued fighting. As this was occurring, the victim, Lucio, became upset and tried to intervene in the arrest of Padama. Officers were eventually able to handcuff Padama and also took Lucio into custody for interfering. Both suspects were booked.
Possession of Methamphetamine / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Officers contacted a bicyclist and identified him as Cody Smith, 19. Smith was in possession of methamphetamine and a syringe. He was arrested without incident and booked.
