Registrar announces registration reminders

VISALIA

The Tulare County Registrar of Voters wants to remind county residents that the last day to register to vote is Oct. 22.

To accommodate last-minute registration, the office will be open 7:30 a.m. to midnight. To obtain a mail-in registration card, call 1-800-345-VOTE or voters can register online at www.sos.ca.gov.

Vote by Mail ballots will be available starting Oct. 8, but cannot be requested by mail after Oct. 30.

Voters may vote early at the elections office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 3.

Residents of Tulare County who will be sworn in as a United States Citizen by a federal judge between Oct. 22 and Oct. 30 may register and vote at the registrar’s office. A naturalization certificate will need to be shown at the time of registration.

The Registrar of Voters Office’s regular hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 8 a.m. to noon Friday, and the office is located at 951 S. Mooney Boulevard, Visalia.
