Volunteer orientation set for Happy Trails

A volunteer orientation for Happy Trails Riding Academy will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19, at 2773 E. Oakdale Ave. in Tulare.

Among items to be discussed are demonstrations, volunteer roles, the 2013 class schedule and safety rules. Volunteers must be at least 14 years old and physically fit to walk for up to two hours with some jogging.

Happy Trails Riding Academy offers opportunities for self-improvement and independence for adults and children with mental, emotional or physical disabilities.
