Crime blotter 1/6/13
Information below is provided to The Recorder by the Porterville Police Department. It is noted that only arrests are reported and the suspects have not been found guilty of any crime.

Warrant Arrest (misdemeanor)
Officers responded to a residence in the 1300 block of North Lindale Street to serve an active warrant for Kelly McCuller, 41. McCuller was located and detained at the residence. The warrants had a total bail of $70,000 and she was later booked at TCSO.
Grand Theft
Officers responded to Holy Cross Church regarding a theft from a vehicle. the victim reported someone had stolen a purse containing her CDL, bank cards and passports; a digital camera; and a PSP game system.
Burglary
Officers responded to a residence in the sub-100 block of East Vandalia Avenue regarding a burglary to a fifth wheel trailer. The victim reported that she observed the door of her fifth wheel open. The victim went outside to investigate and observed a male subject inside the fifth wheel. The male suspect was rummaging through the drawers when he saw the victim and began fleeing through the backyard. The victim checked her trailer and did not observe anything to be missing.
Domestic Violence
Officers responded to a residence in the sub-100 block of North Wisconsin Street regarding an unwanted subject trying to gain entry into the residence. Officers arrived and the subject was gone. The reporting victim had significant injuries to her face from the suspect, identified as Orlando Vallejo, 36. It was reported that Vallejo grabbed the victim’s face with his hands and dug his nails into her cheeks causing her face to bleed. Officers are actively seeking Vallejo regarding this case.
Under the Influence of
a Controlled Substance
Matthew Long, 26, and Jaemi Beaty, 24, were arrested for suspicion of controlled substance. Both suspects were booked at the PPD.
Hit and Run Traffic Collision
Officers investigated a hit and run collision on Orange Avenue near E Street. A dark colored sedan, traveling east on Orange Avenue, struck a parked vehicle causing moderate damage. The suspect vehicle continued traveling east from the scene and was not located. Evidence was located at the scene.
Vandalism / Violation of a
Restraining Order
Officers investigated the report of a vandalism and restraining order violation in the sub 100 block of North 4th Street. The suspect, Andre Hernandez, 33, fled the scene on foot prior to our arrival.
Hit and Run Traffic Collision
Officers investigated a hit and run collision, which occurred at the Olive Avenue and Indiana Street. The suspect vehicle, a newer model black truck, fled the scene west on Olive Avenue.
