Crime Blotter 02/26/13

Information below is provided to The Recorder by the Porterville Police Department. It is noted that only arrests are reported and the suspects have not been found guilty of any crime.

Auto Theft
Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of South Indiana Street regarding a stolen vehicle report. The victim stated between 02/25/13 at 4:30pm and 02/26/13 at 7:00am, subject(s) took her gray 2008 Chevy Colorado pick up truck from her driveway. The victim said her vehicle was unlocked and the keys were inside the vehicle.

Possession of Meth for Sale / Transportation of Meth / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia /  Transportation of Marijuana / Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance / Warrant Arrests
Officers stopped a vehicle at Pioneer Avenue and Cobb Street and contacted the occupants identified as Manuel Elizondo, 35, Jose Lucio, 46, and Francisco Lambarena, 36. A warrant check revealed that Elizondo and Lambarena had active warrants and Lucio and Lambarena were also found to be DUI. All three were arrested and when Lucio was searched he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine in two separate packages, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Lambarena was later cited and released, however Elizondo and Lucio were booked at the substation.
