Crime Blotter 10/01/12

Information below is provided to The Recorder by the Porterville Police Department. It is noted that only arrests are reported and the suspects have not been found guilty of any crime.

Monday, Oct. 1, 2012
Vehicle Burglary
Officers responded to the 300 block of North Indiana Street regarding a report of a vehicle burglary. The victim stated his vehicle had been broken into while parked in an apartment complex parking lot. The case remains under investigation.

Parole Violation
Officers stopped a vehicle at Morton Avenue and Conley Street and contacted the driver, Miguel Espinosa, 26. A warrant check revealed that Espinosa had a parole warrant and he was arrested without incident. Espinosa was booked at the substation.

Residential Burglary
Officers responded to the 400 block of North El Granito Street regarding a burglary report. The victim stated that he had been out of town for the past three weeks and, upon returning today, he noticed the front window had been pried open. A desk, computer, a lap top, a wedding ring, and clothes had been taken. The case remains under investigation.
