Springville man arrested for alleged vehicle tempering

THE PORTERVILLE RECORDER

A Springville man was arrested Tuesday after witnesses reportedly saw him taking items out of a vehicle in Porterville.

Police responded at 11:01 a.m. to the 1000 block of South Jaye Street to investigate a call of someone tampering with a vehicle.

The suspect was reportedly seen removing parts from the vehicle and called police. The suspect was reportedly startled by the person reporting the incident, and fled the area in his vehicle before officers arrived.

Police found a man matching witness descriptions of the suspect near Dogwood Street and Thurman Avenue, police report. The suspect was identified as the person tampering with the vehicle on Jaye Street, police report.

Brian Lusby, 51, was booked on suspicion of possession of stolen property, attempted grand theft and vehicle tampering.
