Porterville man sentenced for taking SCE wire for recycling

On Thursday, 46-year-old Auturo Cabrera of Porterville was sentenced to 180 days in prison, three years probation and was ordered to pay a $500 fine by a Tulare County judge.
According to the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office, on Sept. 4, Cabrera, owner of Cabrera Recycling, purchased clearly identifiable wire used by Southern California Edison from an undercover officer working with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department
On Dec. 14, Cabrera, pleaded no contest to one felony violation of receiving property without due diligence.
