A Tulare County judge on Tuesday sentenced 37-year-old Edwin Telles Rodriguez of Tulare to four years in state prison for felony stalking and violation of domestic violence court orders.

On June 13 of last year, Rodriguez pled to one felony count of stalking, seven felony counts of violating a domestic violence court order, and one misdemeanor count of domestic violence, the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office said in a press release issued Wednesday.

From January to April 2012, Rodriguez continually harassed and threatened his ex-girlfriend, by phone and in person, and on at least one occasion assaulted her, in violation of a court order, which ordered him to stay away and have no contact, the DA said.

The case was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Marisa Maclennan and investigated by the Tulare Police Department and the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department.
