THE PORTERVILLE RECORDER

Upward of 300 people were present Monday night to see what they say is Jesus on a palm tree.

Shonna Uram and Robert Sanchez were among those viewing the image on the tree, which is located near where a similar religious-based reflection was seen on the window at Color Tile on West Olive Avenue in Porterville.

“I went down to see the angel on the window before, on Sunday night and it was there. I told a friend about it,” Uram said. “My friend went Monday night. The angel was gone, but an image of Jesus was on the palm tree.

"She told me to ‘Come right down here, you’re not going to believe this.’ When I got there I was in awe. I really believe it’s a sign.”

Sanchez, who also called The Recorder, said he is convinced the formation is “real.”

“I know it’s real, it’s not fake,” Sanchez said. “There were hundreds of people there who saw it, too.”
