Information below is provided to The Recorder by the Porterville Police Department. It is noted that only arrests are reported and the suspects have not been found guilty of any crime.

Domestic Violence
Officers responded to the 300 block of East Putnam Avenue regarding a report of domestic violence. The victim stated that she had been assaulted by Gabino Nunez, 26. Nunez was located and arrested without incident. He was booked.
Non-Injury Traffic Collision
Officers responded to Third Street and Oak Avenue regarding a non-injury traffic collision. A driver failed to stop for the stop sign and collided with another vehicle.
Non-Injury Traffic Collision
Officers responded to Main Street and Oak Avenue regarding a non-injury traffic collision. A driver was backing unsafely out of a diagonal parking stall and collided with a vehicle that was northbound on Main Street.
Injury Traffic Collision
Officers responded to Putnam Avenue and E Street regarding a traffic collision resulting in injuries. A driver failed to yield to oncoming traffic and collided with another vehicle. The second driver was transported to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno for chest pain.
DUI / Traffic Collision
Officers responded to Putnam Ave and Villa Street regarding a traffic collision resulting in injuries. The driver, Teresa Meza, 37, was determined to be under the influence and was arrested. A passenger in the vehicle she collided into complained of neck and back pain. Meza was arrested and booked.
Warrant Arrest
Officers contacted Donald Fisher, 45, during a traffic stop. He had outstanding warrants, for which he was arrested and booked into the substation.

Officers contacted Mary Ochoa, 34, during a traffic stop. She had an outstanding traffic warrant from Los Angeles County. She was arrested and cited.
Residential Burglary
Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of West River Avenue regarding a report of residential burglary. The victim was contacted and reported that he was away from home on Oct. 3. When he returned home, he was contacted by a neighbor who told him that a juvenile had broken into his residence and stolen a prescription bottle of Vicodin. The victim checked his residence and discovered a bedroom window screen removed and his prescription bottle of Vicodin missing. Officers located the juvenile suspect and arrested him. He was booked at the Juvenile Detention Facility for burglary.
Hit and Run Traffic Collision Resulting in Injury
Officers were dispatched to Sierra View District Hospital regarding a hit and run traffic collision. The juvenile victim was contacted and reported he was walking across the west crosswalk, southbound on G Street at Olive Avenue, when he was struck by a passenger vehicle traveling westbound. The victim stated the vehicle ran the red light at G Street his hand was struck by the driver-side mirror of the passenger vehicle.
