Ghosts Tour offered at Allensworth Park

ALLENSWORTH

The first lantern light ghost tour of the year will be offered by the Porterville Ghost Society at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday at Colonel Allensworth State Historic Park. The park houses the only town built and populated by African-Americans.

During the tour visitors will hear stories of strange happenings and unexplained noises in and around the historic buildings. The tour will last 90 minutes. Participants should wear good walking shoes, bring their own water and wear layered clothing.

Those interested should meet in the visitor center parking lot. Tour fees are $15 per person, and children 12 and under are $5, and they will be collected at the entrance station.
