Free smog test and repair clinic Sept. 29
A free smog emission test and smog repairs event will be held beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Porterville Fairgrounds, 2700 W. Teapot Dome Ave.
The San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District will offer the free test to the first 525 drivers who go to the Fairgrounds.
If a car doesn’t pass the test, owners will receive a $500 voucher for repairs at a participating Gold Shield smog shop.
