The Terra Bella annual Lions Spaghetti Dinner will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Terra Bella Memorial Building.

Ticket are $10 for adults and $5 for children age 12 and younger, and free to children younger than 5 years.

“We’re serving buffet-style and it’s a great place to come and sit and visit,” said Geary Austin, club member. “For those wanting to go to the City of Hope, people can come right at 7 p.m., eat and go to the show.”

The event, originally started by Tom Cemo, has been hosted by the Terra Bella Lions Club for close to 40 years and benefits the Terra Bella and Ducor community.

“All of it goes right back into the community,” said Austin. “It’s used for community projects, supports school projects, soccer leagues and eye conservation.”

In the past, Austin said, proceeds have been used for Porterville High and Terra Bella Middle School band uniforms.

In addition to the food, club members will sell raffle tickets at the dinner.

“We have donated items, including a date night with movies and dinner, that we will be raffling. People do not need to be present to win,” Austin said.

Tickets are available at the door and from all Terra Bella Lions club members or by calling Austin at 535-4461.
