A Terra Bella man was arrested this week by Porterville police who suspect he’s been molesting children for “an extended period of time.”
Authorities began their investigation on June 2 after a female victim reported she was molested several years ago by Amory Fryer, 59, of Terra Bella, the Porterville Police Department reports.
Detectives reportedly found additional suspected victims who Fryer allegedly molested over an extended period of time, police report.
The time frame of the alleged offenses was not released.
Detectives served a search warrant at about 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Fryer’s home. They reportedly found evidence they believe supports the claims of the various victims, police report.
The nature of that evidence was not released.
Detectives also reportedly found evidence police suspect indicates possession of child pornography by Fryer.
Police issued a law enforcement broadcast for Fryer’s arrest. He was found at about 11:15 a.m. on the 1000 block of West Monache Avenue by Officer Wayne Martin, and was arrested without incident.
Fryer was booked on suspicion of multiple incidents of alleged child molestation and possession of child pornography.
