Information below is provided to The Recorder by the Porterville Police Department. It is noted that only arrests are reported and the suspects have not been found guilty of any crime.

Residential Burglary
Officers responded to the 1000 block of North Belmont Street regarding a residential burglary. The victims reported that while they were at work, suspects entered their residence through a bedroom window. The suspects stole a Samsung television, a Nintendo Wii, a Sony PlayStation 3, two laptop computers, an Asus “Epad”, Nintendo DS games and an AT&T DSL Wireless Router. Physical evidence was located and the case remains under investigation.
Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance
Officers responded to the DMV regarding a female causing a disturbance. Michelle Machado, 42, was contacted and displayed signs and symptoms of being under the influence. She was arrested and booked.
Residential Burglary
Officers responded the 100 block of West Orange Avenue regarding a residential burglary that occurred during the day. The victim reported that while she was at work, suspects entered her residence through a bedroom window and stole cash, a white Apple iPod Touch and jewelry.
Petty Theft
Officers responded Town and County Market regarding a theft that had just occurred. A female wearing a white hooded sweatshirt stole infant formula and fled eastbound through the parking lot. Loss Prevention employees contacted her and recovered the formula; however, the female then fled.
Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance
Officers responded to Morton Avenue and Villa Street regarding a subject acting bizarrely. Christopher Whitman, 36, was contacted and determined to be under the influence. He was transported to TCSO Porterville Substation where he was booked and housed.
Warrant Arrest, Public Intoxication
Officers contacted James Eversole, 32, at Vandalia Avenue and Roche Street during a pedestrian contact. He was determined to be intoxicated and also had an active warrant for his arrest. He was booked at TCSO.
Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance
Officers responded to the 600 block of West Putnam Avenue regarding an anonymous call of drug activity at that location. Cassey Fenley, 20, and Bill Terrant, 49, were contacted at the residence and determined to be under the influence. Both were booked at PPD.
