Witness information leads police to burglary suspect

THE PORTERVILLE RECORDER

LINDSAY — Information obtained from a witness led detectives to several suspects from the Lindsay area.
As a result, Raymond Lara Villa, 21, a Lindsay resident, was contacted and subsequently arrested.

At about 10 a.m. Sunday, detectives with the Porterville Police Department were contacted regarding information on several burglary investigations in the city.

They conducted two searches at residences in Lindsay, including a search warrant in the 200 block of North Cambridge Street.

As a result of the searches, detectives located several thousand dollars in stolen property, which were determined to be from three reported burglaries.  

Villa was arrested for Villa was booked at the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department on suspicion of burglary, conspiracy to commit a felony, and being under the influence of a controlled substance

He is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.

This investigation is on-going, and additional suspects are being sought by detectives.
