Pedestrian killed Sunday named

The man who died after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 190 early Sunday has been identified as Vincent Peyron, 58, of Porterville.
Porterville Police reported the man was walking in the slow lane of eastbound Highway 190 when he was struck at 1:20 a.m. Sunday. The incident occurred just east of Martin Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the driver of the vehicle was not at fault. That person stopped and called authorities.
