Students read and recite

The Annual Poetry and Prose On Stage program is scheduled for March 11, 12, 18, 19 and 21 in the Tulare County Office of Education building located at 2637 W. Burrel Ave., Visalia.

The county-wide oral interpretation event for students in grades K-8 provides an opportunity for participants to recite before an appreciative audience.

This year, 95 Tulare County schools are sending more than 1,000 students to the five-day event.

Students, who prepare poems or dramatic readings, perform either individually or in small groups. Sessions will be held each day at 9, 10:15 and 11:30 a.m.

The event is free and open to the public.
