Auto Theft


A victim stated that sometime during the night his Moped was taken. The Moped is described as red and does not run or have a muffler.

Information below is provided to The Recorder by the Porterville Police Department. It is noted that only arrests are reported and the suspects have not been found guilty of any crime.



Injury DUI Traffic Collision


Officers responded to the intersection of Plano Street and Putnam Avenue for a minor injury traffic collision. The investigation determined that a driver was northbound on Plano Street and stopped for the red light at Putnam Avenue. Pablo Mosqueda, 34, was also northbound on Plano Street and was traveling too fast for conditions. Mosqueda rear-ended the first vehicle. Mosqueda displayed objective signs of being under the influence of alcohol and was arrested.



Residential Burglary


Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of North E Street regarding a residential burglary. The reporting party advised that a suspect entered her residence through a rear door and stole a boys BMX Mongoose bicycle from a bedroom. The case remains under investigation.
