Two held on suspicion of robbery
Two Porterville men were arrested late Monday night in the 100 block of S. B St. on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, attempted robbery, participation in a criminal street gang, conspiracy and violation of probation.
Efrain Martinez, 25, and Curtis, Cervantez, 28, were book into the Tulare County Jail.
Police said they responded to the 100 block of south B Street regarding an assault. They found two male victims who had been physically assaulted after refusing to give their personal property to the suspects upon demand. The victims provided officers with a description of the suspects and the suspect vehicle.
Officers later located the suspect vehicle occupied by Martinez and Curtis in the area of Main Street and Olive Avenue. Martinez and Cervantez were identified as the suspects that assaulted the victims and both were taken into custody.
