Jeffery Stowe, 40, of Porterville was arrested and booked into the Tulare County Jail on Thursday after a warrant check revealed he had an active felony warrant for drug offenses.

Reportedly looking suspicious while walking near White Chapel Avenue and Westwood Street around midnight, Stowe was stopped by a police sergeant patrolling the area. Stowe was arrested after the sergeant ran a warrant check.

Stowe was allegedly carrying methamphetamine and a glass pipe, and it appeared he recently used a controlled substance.
